"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Mt. 18:20)
A Group Reunion is a gathering of a group of three to six people who meet regularly for one hour (usually once a week) to share how they are living out the method of the Cursillo Movement (piety, study and action) and continual support needed to persevere after the Cursillo in doing God’s will. Group Reunion forms a strong bond that builds trust and a deeper relationship with Christ alive in our lives and hearts.
The process of Group Reunion is to help all the group members become better friends, better Christians, better parents, spouses, workers, and citizens. A better person in general.
Reunion groups change and grow as time and life continue. Some people stay in the same group for many years, and some people have been part of more than one group.
How to Find a Group Your Sponsor or team members from your Weekend, especially the members who were at your table or fellow Cursillistas can help you find a reunion group.
Go to an Ultreya, you may find people whose groups are open to new members or who want to begin grouping.
What is a Friendship Group Reunion? On the Cursillo Weekend, we discover a small group of friends with whom we can share our lives (past and present) and our lives as Christians. So, in choosing a friendship group, we should find such a group of friends.
In choosing a Friendship Group, it should be Cursillistas among whom a friendship can blossom into close friends that we can trust to share our trials in life, our joys and the love we have for Christ. It should be a bond that can help you to grow in your own way to be a better Christian in your everyday life and to bring others to Christ.
As in a group reunion, we should apply the same method in a friendship group, sharing how we are living out the method of the Cursillo Movement (piety, study and action) and the support we need to persevere as a part of God’s plan. A friendship can be discovered and can take root at any time, whether during PreCursillo, the Cursillo Weekend, or the PostCursillo.
