What does the word Cursillo mean? The word Cursillo, pronounced Kur-See-Yo, in English means a short course. The Cursillo is an experience that is lived and, as such it cannot be defined. It is not because it is a secret, but because it is a living experience that one needs to experience firsthand.
What is a Cursillo and its purpose? It is a short intense course that consists of three full days of sharing and living what is fundamental of being a Christian, to love God and to love our neighbor. To fully understand and accept the ideas that are presented, we must have an open heart and mind to what is being presented in the three days of the Cursillo Weekend.
